16 new photomicrographs added to the Sand Photomicrography section. The sands are received from Kathy Obersinner from Juneau, Alaska (USA).
Today I received a new package with sands from the US, mainly AK and HI but also CA, OR, WA, SC, FL, IL, MS. Thank you Kathy for the nice selection!

New sand photos added: limestone and foraminifera sands from Croatia, sands from Oman, Austrian serpentinite from Alps, micro fossils from France etc.

The “About” page has been updated with detailed info about sand collecting, World Atlas of Sands website, sand photomicrography etc.
World Atlas of Sands is now available for mobile phones with a simple, customized graphical user interface.
